The 1896 Tarot

Seventy-eight small scenes, lit by whatever light was actually there. Set in the same Blackwater ground as the novel, Newman’s Ridge running through the whole deck like a character in its own right.

No wings, no demons. Every curse and every blessing in this deck belongs to the people and the places they’ve been — not to angels or devils keeping score from somewhere else.

The deck doesn’t need the book. The book doesn’t need the deck. Curses and Blessings knows the names.
